Foods That Help You Gain Weight
The first thing many people will tell a skinny person is to eat the types of food that will help you gain it. Now thats sounds simple, but you cannot just go around eating pointless calories from fast food and think your going to be muscular. Most skinny people will tell you that they can eat anything and everything and not gain a pound.
“Hard gainers” as naturally thin people are called are notorious for eating a whole cheese cake, sitting on the couch for 3 days an not gaining a pound. To gain weight, you have to change the way your body burns calories.
Foods you need to eat are those that are enriched in protein and carbohydrates. These foods include Red meat, fish, shell fish, nuts (peanuts), white potatoes, sweet potatoes, brown rice, oatmeal, egg whites, fruits and vegetables.
Now eating these foods alone will not just give you a giant boost in weight gain. You have to eat a balance between how much protein and how many carbs you are actually taking in and how many you are burning.
You also need to eat at the proper intervals in order to make your body change the way that it stores good calories. Notice there is not one mention of fast food, candy, soda or alcohol. These contain worthless calories that are made up of mostly sugar. You want to avoid these as much as possible to get maximum gains.
Once in a while, indulging yourself is not going to hurt you, but you need to try as best you can to not gorge yourself on these worthless calories if your trying to build muscle.
